Kawempe Urban Council has initiated plans to alleviate traffic congestion on Bombo Road by replacing the roundabouts at Kubiri, Mulago Mortuary, and CMI Wandegeya with traffic lights.
The Mayor of Kawempe, Emmanuel Serunjogi, stated that the installation of traffic lights will help alleviate traffic congestion in the area.
Funding for this project has been secured from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JAICA) and the East African Development Bank.
