The Minister for Defense and Veteran Affairs, Jacob Oboth Oboth, appealed to the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs to engage the Ministry of Finance in releasing funds for salary enhancement for retiring officers.
During the presentation of their ministerial policy statement and the budget co-circular paper for the financial year 2024/25, Oboth Oboth stated that the ministry faces a shortfall of 962 billion shillings in wages.
