Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Wants Coffee Bill Withdrawn

Former Leader of Opposition and Mukungwe Constituency Member of Parliament, Mathias Mpuuga, has advised the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs to withdraw the 2024 Coffee Bill to allow for adequate stakeholder consultations.

Meanwhile, a section of MPs from the Western Region expressed disapproval of integrating the Uganda Coffee Development Authority into the Ministry of Agriculture, citing concerns that regulatory roles, quality control, expertise, and coffee market focus may be compromised.
