39th NRM/NRA Victory Day Celebrations: Honoring Sacrifices and Socio-Economic Transformation

Minister for Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, has announced that the 39th NRM/NRA Victory Day Anniversary celebrations will be held on January 26, 2025, at the National Teachers College Grounds in Mubende District. This year’s theme is “39 Years of NRM/A: Salutations to Those Who Re-sanctified Our Homeland.”

The President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, will be the chief guest, joined by various dignitaries.

During the celebrations, 61 public servants who excelled in organizing the Non-Aligned Movement and G77 plus China summits in Kampala will be awarded medals. Additionally, an Eye Care Medical Camp will take place in Mubende, providing free treatment, eye glasses, and surgeries.

Hon. Babalanda emphasized the significance of the day, reflecting on the sacrifices made during the NRM/NRA bush war, and how these contributions have led to Uganda’s socio-economic transformation over the past 39 years. Below is the detailed statement from the Minister for Presidency.
