Uganda is mourning the death of Rt. Hon. Gen. Moses Ali, who passed away at Nakasero Hospital at 4:00 p.m.
Announcing his death, President Yoweri Museveni described Gen. Moses Ali as a long-serving soldier and political leader who dedicated much of his life to serving the country.
The President also commended Gen. Moses Ali for his contribution to the development of the West Nile region, where he served as an example of a successful modern farmer.
Gen. Moses Ali, who was Uganda’s longest-serving Cabinet Minister and former Second Deputy Prime Minister, leaves behind a legacy of long service to the country in both military and political leadership.
The Ministry of Works and Transport, where his son serves as Minister of State, has also conveyed condolences to the Ali family.
The country continues to mourn the veteran leader, whose contribution to Uganda’s development and public service will be greatly missed.
