The Office of the Prime Minister has announced the successful conclusion of the food relief distribution intervention in Karamoja.
Permanent Secretary Alex Kakooza shared the update while briefing the media on the Government’s ongoing interventions across the country.
He also said the cattle restocking programme in the Acholi, Lango and Teso sub-regions is progressing well as Government continues efforts to support affected communities.
Kakooza further highlighted the El Niño rains expected between September and December, urging the public to pay attention to early warning messages and take the necessary precautions to stay safe.
The Government is encouraging communities to remain alert and follow guidance from relevant authorities as the country prepares for the anticipated rains.
