Uganda Cranes Beat DR Congo 2–0 in Johannesburg

Uganda Cranes have beaten the Democratic Republic of Congo 2–0 in an international friendly played in Johannesburg, South Africa.

James Bogere opened the scoring after capitalising on a mistake in the DR Congo defence, giving Uganda a 1–0 lead at half-time.

Kelvin Boateng added the second after the break, scoring his first goal for the senior national team.

Uganda kept DR Congo out for the remainder of the game to complete the win with a clean sheet.

Head coach Paul Put used the friendly to assess his squad during the FIFA international window.

The two sides are expected to meet again in South Africa on 5 October 2026.
