President Museveni Reshuffles Ministers

President Yoweri Museveni announced a cabinet reshuffle on Thursday night, citing authority vested in him by Articles 108(2), 108A(1), 113(1), and 114(1) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda.

In the updated cabinet lineup, Mary Goretti Kitutu, the Minister for Karamoja Affairs, and her Minister of State, Agnes Nadutu, have been relieved of their duties. The decision follows allegations against Kitutu and Nandutu regarding the misappropriation of iron sheets intended for the Karachuna warriors in Karamoja.

Additionally, Vincent B Ssempijja, the State Minister of Agriculture, has been reassigned as a Presidential Adviser, while General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, the Chief of Defence Forces, assumes the role of Minister of State for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives. Notably, events promoter Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi has been appointed as the State Minister for Children and Youth Affairs in the recent reshuffle.
