The NRM Electoral Commission has issued a call for Expressions of Interest and the collection of nomination forms for individuals seeking to become NRM flag bearers for Members of Parliament to the East African Legislative Assembly for the 2022–2027 term.
The forthcoming April elections are intended to replace Hon. Denis Namara and Hon. James Kakooza, who were elected to Uganda’s 12th Parliament in January.
Speaking at a press conference, the Commission Chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi, stated that interested members are required to submit a written Expression of Interest letter together with an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) to the Chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission at Plot 13, Kyadondo Road. The submission period runs from 23rd March 2026 to 25th March 2026 at 5:00 pm.
He further noted that the nomination of candidates will take place on 25th March 2026, beginning at 9:00 am and closing at 5:00 pm.
