THE 12TH EAC ARMED FORCES FIELD TRAINING.

Participants at the ongoing 12th EAC Armed Forces Field Training Exercise, Ushirikiano Imara 2022 have been told that joint field training exercises boost military readiness and overall responses to complex security challenges.

Remark was made by the UPDF Military Police Commandant and Exercise Director Maj Gen Don Nabasa on behalf of the Chief of Defence Forces Gen Wilson Mbadi as he officially opened the 12th EAC Armed Forces Field Training in Jinja district.

The EAC Armed Forces Field Training Exercise objective is intended to promote the integration of EAC Defence Forces, Police, Prisons and the civilians.

The exercises involve all EAC Commanders in planning and preparation to meet the required success.

UPDF Military Police Commandant and exercise Director Maj Gen Don Nabasa as welcomed the participants on behalf of the Chief of Defence Forces Gen Wilson Mbadi.

The exercise composition of the military, police, prisons and key civilian components entails an opportunity to train realistically.

Exercise provides knowledge on how to deal with thematic areas like Peace Support Operations, Counter Terrorism, Counter Piracy and Disaster Management.

Maj Gen Nabasa strengthened on military cooperation as regional forces address new emerging threats.
