Police in Busoga East have arrested three suspects in Iganga District over alleged impersonation of Mrs. Natasha Museveni Karugire and Hajji Hamis Kiggundu using fake TikTok accounts.
The suspects, identified as Mugoya Hassan, 27, Kyakatuka Ashiraf, 22, and Isanga Asuman, 20, were arrested from Nampirika A Village in Bukaye Parish, Nakalama Sub-County following a joint operation by officers from Kiwule Police Station and Iganga CPS.
According to a statement issued by Busoga East regional police spokesperson ASP Kasadha Micheal, the operation followed a report of impersonation filed at Kiwatule Police Station.
Police said surveillance teams had earlier been deployed on the ground to monitor and identify the suspects before the operation was carried out.
Upon arrest and interrogation, investigators established that the suspects had been operating several TikTok accounts using identities of different people.
Police said Mugoya Hassan was found with a Samsung A06 mobile phone containing two active TikTok accounts identified as “Natasha Karugire” and “The first daughter Natasha mus”.
Kyakatuka Ashiraf was reportedly using a Samsung phone to operate accounts identified as “janet.kataha.muse5”, “natashakar7”, “first.daughter767” and “ssenga.naisanga.04”.
Investigators also recovered a Samsung S10 phone from Isanga Asuman, which police say was being used to operate a TikTok account named “NATASHA.K MUSEVENI SOUL”.
The suspects are expected to be transported to Kampala for prosecution. Police also revealed that earlier this year, on February 3, 2026, operatives from Defence Intelligence and Security arrested several other suspects linked to impersonation of Mrs. Natasha
