UTA Engages The Firm Ltd in Strategic Partnership to Boost Digital Capacity in Tourism Sector

The Uganda Tourism Association (UTA) President, Mrs. Yogi Biriggwa, alongside Technical Advisor Prof. Edwin Sabuhoro, recently held a strategic meeting with Mr. Muhereza Kyamutetera former UTA CEO now representing The Firm Ltd, a company exploring a potential partnership with UTA.

The discussions focused on a promising collaboration aimed at launching a digital marketing initiative and establishing a sector-wide visual content bank. This project is designed to empower UTA member businesses by enhancing their digital presence, building critical digital skills, and expanding access to new markets.

Key components of the proposed initiative include:

  • Inclusive marketing and improved market access for tourism businesses.
  • Provision of affordable, high-quality digital content to increase online visibility.
  • Training in digital skills and content usage, tailored to tourism entrepreneurs.
  • Job creation within the broader tourism value chain through digital engagement.

The envisioned outcomes of the partnership are equally impactful:

✅ A centralized content bank accessible to sector players
✅ Reduced costs for professional digital content production
✅ Strengthened digital marketing skills across the tourism sector
✅ Post-training digital support for sustained growth
✅ Increased competitiveness and visibility for UTA members in the online space

If successfully implemented, the partnership stands to significantly enhance the digital capabilities of Uganda’s tourism sector, enabling local businesses to thrive in an increasingly competitive global market.
