IGP Byakagaba Engages Police Personnel at Entebbe and Kajjansi Divisions, Pledges Focus on Welfare and Teamwork

The Inspector General of Police, Abas Byakagaba, continued his strategic engagements with field personnel by visiting the Entebbe and Kajjansi Police Divisions, where he held discussions with officers and emphasized the critical role of law enforcement in achieving national development goals.

During his interaction, IGP Byakagaba highlighted the police force’s role in supporting the government’s Vision 2040, as well as key initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM), which are vital to Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.

He underscored the importance of teamwork and collaboration in fulfilling police duties effectively and pledged to prioritize the welfare of officers, noting that addressing the force’s key needs remains a top priority.

In a show of community engagement, the IGP also took time to meet with the spouses of officers from the Kajjansi Police Division, appreciating their support and acknowledging the role families play in the wellbeing and effectiveness of the force.

Byakagaba’s continued outreach signals a hands-on approach to leadership, focusing on motivation, welfare, and alignment with national development objectives.
