Makerere University College of Computing and Information Sciences has won approximately 55.5bn/= from Google, to further research on automated screening of diseases using artificial intelligence. The Permanent Secretary ministry of ICT and National Guidance Aminah Zawedde launched the project at Makerere University and emphasized the need to harness technology to better the wellbeing of society.
