Officials from the Electoral Commission Secretariat were denied an audience by the Parliamentary Committee on Legal and Parliamentary Affairs when they appeared to present their upcoming budget framework paper.
The Electoral Commission officials were summoned before the term of the commissioners expired on January 7, 2024. However, the committee declined to hear their presentation, indicating that they would not be given an opportunity until the next commissioners are constituted.
