22 Years On and a Week Later,Arsenal Fans Still Savouring a Historic Triumph and Momentous Victory Parade

More than two decades after Arsenal’s previous league title, the celebrations continue to resonate with supporters across the world.

Just a week after the club’s historic victory parade through North London that had a record 1.5m+ people, many fans are still struggling to come to terms with the magnitude of the achievement.

Among them was Muganda T Basajabalaba, a Ugandan-born Arsenal supporter who travelled more than 173km from Coventry to join thousands of fans celebrating the club’s success.

For her, the scenes in North London were unforgettable.

“The way this title was celebrated helped people understand how massive this club is,” Basajabalaba said. “The passion of the supporters and the scale of the celebrations showed what Arsenal means to millions of people around the world who are excited about the future.”

Now living in the United Kingdom, Basajabalaba has followed Arsenal through every high and low.

Years of near misses and disappointment never weakened her loyalty.

Instead, they strengthened her belief that better days would eventually arrive.

“Being a Gooner has never been about choosing the easy path,” she said. “It has always been about loyalty, passion and belief.”

For supporters like her, Arsenal is more than a football club and is now part of their identity.

And to her, after years of waiting, the reward has made every moment of patience worthwhile.
