UBC is delighted to announce that it will broadcast the FIFA World Cup 2026 live and free-to-air, ensuring millions of Ugandans can enjoy football’s greatest tournament at no cost.
Hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July 2026, the tournament will bring together the world’s best teams and players. Under FIFA’s free-to-air arrangement for Africa, UBC will broadcast 34 selected matches, including all games involving African nations, key group stage fixtures, knockout matches, the quarter-finals, both semi-finals, and the FIFA World Cup Final.
As Uganda’s national public broadcaster, UBC remains committed to making major global events accessible to all citizens, regardless of location or economic status.
