Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) has acquired the rights to broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches live and free to viewers across the country.
The announcement comes as teams continue to arrive in North America ahead of the tournament, which kicks off next week.
Among the teams already in camp is South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, who have arrived at their base in Pachuca, Mexico, ahead of the opening match against hosts Mexico at the Estadio Azteca on 11 June 2026.
Other nations that have so far arrived for the tournament include Brazil, England, and defending champions Argentina as preparations intensify for the global football showpiece.
With the World Cup set to begin next week, Ugandans will be able to follow the action live and free from their living rooms through UBC broadcasts.
