Alton, United Kingdom – The Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has called on Muslims to renew their commitment to the worship of One God, saying genuine faith must be reflected in moral conduct, honesty and service to humanity.
Delivering the concluding address at the Jalsa Salana UK 2026 convention on Sunday, the Khalifa reminded members that joining the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community carried responsibilities that extended far beyond a declaration of faith.
He said the pledge of allegiance (bai’at) required believers to reject every form of idolatry and wrongdoing, observe the five daily prayers, remain truthful, avoid harming others and devote themselves to serving humanity.
“Merely identifying oneself as an Ahmadi is not sufficient,” he said, urging members to demonstrate their faith through practical reform and righteous conduct.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said the mission of the Promised Messiah was to revive the true teachings of Islam by restoring the absolute Unity of God and eliminating all forms of polytheism, moral decline and spiritual corruption.
He cautioned that idolatry was not limited to the worship of physical idols but could also take hidden forms, including excessive dependence on wealth, influence, status or worldly power instead of placing complete trust in God.
The Khalifa also criticised what he described as a growing culture of dishonesty across society, saying truthfulness had become increasingly rare in politics, legal systems and everyday life.
He urged Ahmadis to distinguish themselves through honesty, humility, compassion and forgiveness, stressing that lasting peace could only be achieved through moral transformation.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad further encouraged members to increase their remembrance of God through prayer, repentance and regular recitation of Durood Sharif, saying spiritual reform begins with strengthening one’s relationship with Allah.
He concluded by praying for peace, security and stability across the world and urged members to become ambassadors of peace through their conduct.
