Kabale District Gets a Boost in Water Supply and Sanitation

The Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Water and Environment, recently witnessed the launch of the Bugarama–Karweru Water Supply and Sanitation System in Kabale District. The ceremonial ground-breaking took place at Bugarama Primary School, marking the official start of the project.

Funded by the Government of Uganda, the initiative will be implemented under the “Climate-smart Water Infrastructure Project” (CWIP) through the Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Services Department. The project aims to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities for communities in the area.

M/s Vidas Engineering Services Company Ltd has been contracted to carry out the construction works, ensuring that the project meets the set standards and timelines. Once completed, the system is expected to significantly enhance water supply and sanitation services in Bugarama and Karweru.
