The Government of Uganda has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the country’s health infrastructure, with steady progress being registered at the Lubowa International Specialized Hospital project. Earlier today, the Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury (PSST), Ramathan Ggoobi, visited the construction site to assess ongoing works and engage with project stakeholders.
During the visit, Ggoobi observed that the project is steadily advancing, with construction works currently estimated at 68% completion. He commended the project consultants and the implementing team for the visible progress made so far, noting that the facility represents a significant step toward enhancing access to quality and specialized healthcare services for Ugandans.
While expressing satisfaction with the ongoing developments, the PSST encouraged the teams involved to accelerate the remaining phases of the project. He emphasized the need for timely delivery, stressing that once completed, the hospital will provide advanced medical services locally, reducing the need for costly referrals abroad.
The Government continues to prioritize investments in the health sector as part of its broader agenda to improve service delivery and promote socio-economic transformation across the country.
