From 28 – 30 December 2025, the Embassy of Uganda in Copenhagen successfully launched mobile -passport and NIRA registration services in Gothenburg, Sweden.
During the weekend, approximately 200 Ugandan nationals registered for National IDs, new passports, and dual-citizenship services.
The Embassy was supported by teams from Ministry of Internal Affairs ( DCIC) Department and the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) who sensitized and enrolled citizens, ensuring a smooth exercise.
From Gothenburg, the team will proceed to the Embassy Uganda in Denmark to enroll Ugandans for NIRA services from 3rd -6th December 2025.
This initiative has significantly enhanced our ability to extend essential services closer to Ugandans in the Nordic and Baltic States.
