Uganda Hosts Chinese Investors for Coffee and Tourism Investment Tour

Uganda is hosting a delegation of Chinese investors and industry representatives under the Uganda–China Coffee Investment and Destination Tour, aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties.

The tour, organised by Uganda’s Embassy in Beijing and the Consulate in Guangzhou, runs from April 10 to 23, 2026.

The delegation includes representatives from companies such as Shandong Huajian Aluminum Group, Beijing Liujian Group, Wuxi Jiangnan Cable, Hainan Zhongyu International Cooperation, Africa Cultural and Tourism Center, Beijing 7Sea Holidays, Beijing Jubangbang Agriculture, and Silk Road Global International Exhibition.

The group is visiting key industrial sites including Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park, Liao Shen Industrial Park, and Namanve Industrial Park to explore opportunities in manufacturing and infrastructure.

They will also tour coffee facilities, including Ankole Coffee Producers Cooperative Union and a processing plant in Bushenyi, focusing on Uganda’s coffee value chain.

The programme includes visits to tourism sites such as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Rwenzori Mountains National Park, and the Source of the Nile.

Officials say the visit is part of ongoing efforts to attract investment and expand market access, particularly in agriculture, tourism, and industry.
