Honourable Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, received Copies of letters of credencefrom H.E .Ms. Anne Hermansen, Ambassador –Designate of Norway to Uganda.
Hon. Odongo, welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of Norway, H.E Anne as she presented her credentials at the Ministry Headquarters.
During the meeting, both parties expressed their commitment to strengthen the diplomatic ties and cooperation between Norway and Uganda. They discussed various bilateral issues of mutual interest, such as trade, investment, development cooperation, and cultural exchange programs.
Hon. Odongo, extended his gratitude to the Norwegian Government for its longstanding support and collaboration with Uganda in various sectors, including education, environment, and health. He acknowledged Norway’s contributions towards sustainable development programs in Uganda and emphasized the importance of continued partnership in achieving shared goals.
H.E Anne, conveyed her country’s intention to strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Norway and Uganda by exploring new avenues for cooperation. She highlighted the potential for increased trade and investment, as well as opportunities to enhance cultural exchange and people-to-people connections.
The meeting concluded with both parties expressing their determination to work closely together and further deepen the friendship and cooperation between the Governments and Peoples of Norway and Uganda
