Preparations for the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Common Wealth in High gear

Preparations for the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Common wealth were in high gear in Kampala. As of December 27, 2023, 43 delegations had confirmed their attendance at CSPOC 2024, with the first arrivals expected on Sunday, December 31, 2023.

Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, was tasked with receiving the various delegations at Entebbe International Airport during the conference, which would take place from January 3 to 6, 2024.

The anticipation was palpable as the international event drew near. With a focus on strategic networking, the conference aimed to maximize gains for all participants. Additionally, it was an opportunity for Kampala to showcase its diverse culture, stunning landscapes, and the potential for investment.

Two special guests, representing South Sudan and the East African Legislative Assembly, had confirmed their attendance, adding to the significance of the event.

As the first arrivals approached on December 31, 2023, Kampala was ready to welcome the Commonwealth nations with open arms. The CSPOC 2024 is about to unfold, marking a moment of unity and collaboration among speakers and presiding officers from around the world.
