The government has assured the public that fuel supply across the country remains stable, with another shipment expected to boost national reserves.
In a statement issued through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and the Uganda National Oil Company, officials said a fuel vessel carrying 119 million litres is due to dock at Mombasa Port on April 15, 2026.
The shipment is expected to reinforce existing stocks and support continued availability of petroleum products across the country.
Authorities said supply chains are being closely managed to maintain adequate stock levels and meet national demand.
On pricing, the government noted that pump prices remain tied to global market conditions, including ongoing geopolitical tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran, which continue to influence international oil prices.
Officials, however, said the situation is being monitored, with measures in place to keep prices within manageable levels.
The public has been urged to remain calm and avoid panic buying, with government maintaining that fuel supplies remain sufficient.
