Construction works on the Masaka-Kyotera-Mutukula Road are progressing, with approximately 40 kilometres of the road reaching the formation stage.
The formation stage involves preparing and compacting the ground in readiness for the next phase of road construction.
Major box culverts have also been installed at road crossings, while construction of the River Bukora Bridge has reached 40 per cent completion.
The progress was assessed during an inspection led by the Head of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, Kasule Sebunya, and his team.
The team inspected ongoing construction works and engaged the contractor as well as residents living in communities along the road.
The inspection provided an opportunity to assess the progress of the project on the ground and hear the views and concerns of residents who are directly affected by the construction works.
The continued progress on the project is expected to improve connectivity and facilitate the movement of people and goods along the Masaka-Kyotera-Mutukula corridor.
