TEN HOUSE HOLDS IN BUNDIBUGYO DISTRICT HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY FLOODS

10 house holds in mpuliya cell, mpuliya ward, Ntandi Town council in Bundibugyo District have been severely affected by floods, their property washed away and their houses have been filled with mud from the rain.

It’s reported that some children have been burried in the mud as a result of the rain.

Our Bundibugyo branch Red Cross volunteers are working with the local authorities to dig up the mud in search for the bodies of the children. So far only one body of a 3months old baby has been found.

There are cases of minor injuries reported and volunteers were able to provide first aid.

The water is reported to
have come from up the mountain which has affected 5 subcounties in Bundibugyo.

A detailed report will be shared after the assessment by the assessment team which is on ground.
