Makerere is celebrating its 100 year centenary with alumni and friends of Makerere at this year’s UNAA Convention.
The Ugandan North American Association hosted a special gala dinner in San Francisco, California, in celebration of Makerere’s 100th Anniversary.
The gala dinner was addressed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Nawangwe who delivered a keynote speech to an audience of an enthusiastic and proud Makerere Alumni community.
The UNAA executive presented a commemorative cake in marking the 100 year milestone.
The UNAA celebration is part of the calendar of events planned to engage with alumni in the diaspora. Similar events were have been hosted in Nairobi, Kigali, San Francisco, and others planned in Dar es Salaam and London.
